We are
now seeking talent to fill up the position of SITE MANAGER
Position requires full-time attendance at Cotai, Macau SAR worksite, operating on a six-day working week. Local Macau citizen preferable, however alternative arrangements can be considered for the right candidate.
Primary purpose :-
To supervise site activities to achieve the project objectives in terms of safety, time, cost and quality whilst maintaining good client relationships, and building/maintaining positive relationships with SCL’s project team, the client, contractors, consultants, etc.
To collaborate with the Project Director for management, supervision and reporting of all site activities and provide site feedback to SCL’s design team
To act as the key site contact for external project stakeholders, including the client and the General Contractor’s representative for successful planning and execution of works
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Plan, supervise, monitor and control the site installation of all works under SCL’s scope of works;
- Identify potential hazards during installation process and to implement prevention measures in order to minimize all accidents, incidents and injuries;
- Manage the Occupational Health & Safety performance of the project according to the Project Safety Management Plan, maintaining a safe work environment by preparing safety documentation, attending safety meetings, consulting with workforce, carrying out safety audits, toolbox talks and conduct incident/accident investigation if required, etc.;
- Regularly update on installation progress with Project Director and other project participants and to ensure all installation activities comply with contractual and statutory requirements;
- Maintain construction programme and Perform site inspections and solve technical problems with support of the project design and management teams;
- Directly manage site personnel and to coordinate with other contractors, subcontractors.
- Manage the risk aspects of contracts/ including the ability to protect the company’s contractual position with appropriately written correspondence;
- Compile daily site records including site diaries and weekly reports for review by the wider team.
- Undertake any other duties as assigned by the management;
Professional Qualifications:
Degree holder in Construction, Project Management or other related course preferred, but not essential. Solid experience in Occupational Safety and Health;
Minimum 7 years relevant experience in site-based construction role, with preference shown to installation of theme park, show attractions, hospitality, and hotels, etc.
Skills & Attributes:
- Strong sense of responsibility, well-organized, able to work independently, attentive to details;
- Good understanding of the construction processes, including specific processes relating to theming works;
- Good knowledge and working capability of MS Word, Excel and Outlook;
- Ability to deal with industrial relations issues to achieve outcomes in line with company objectives;
- Utilize problem solving skills to overcome day‐to‐day challenges;
- Possess strong interpersonal and personal skills including: flexibility, and an ability to adapt to constant change;
- Excellent spoken in Cantonese and proficient in English, both in verbal and written;
- The ability to remain objective and non‐reactive when handling emotive staff and people issue
