Our banking client is looking for:
Vice president of Operations of Technology
Responsibility:
- To lead, Manage and control the operation of the team to ensure delivery of efficient
and good quality products and services without any risk.
- To ensure the smooth daily operations of the team by providing advice and approval to resolve ‘problem’ cases, and to maintain/ further improve the good working relationship with our internal customers.
- To ensure team meets and delivers Department’s operation budget.
- To be responsible for the team meeting the Department’s goals of cost management, quality and risk control.
- To provide direction by setting performance targets for staff and monitor actual performance against targets.
- To keep abreast of developments in ‘competitor’ banks and share best practices with staff.
- To ensure compliance with statutory rules and compliance with internal policies and guidelines.
- To achieve cost reduction from budgetary plan/ reduce unit cost by constantly reviewing and improving work processers as per current KPI.
- To maintain/ further improve the good working relationship with internal customers through regular dialogues. Support and implement their initiatives to improve revenue stream for Trade.
- To improve and enhance the knowledge, understand and quality of staff.
- To ensure compliance of system and control procedures in line with internal procedures, policies and guidelines: achieve at minimum ‘satisfactory’ rating by Group Audit and external Audit in their annual audit.
- To visit external customers independently or jointly with Relationship Manager of CIB if required.
- To conduct training/ seminars to external customers for enhancing/ updating their product knowledge/skill.
Requirement:
- Degree or related Diploma preferred.
- Minimum 10 years experience in banking operations or relevant experience.
- Capable to meet SLA/ tight deadlines and performs efficiently under pressure with master level of proficiently in leadership, problem solving, developing and coaching, communication, teamwork, planning and organizing. To contribute to the long term growth of DBS.
- Good in English and Chinese
- In- depth trade product knowledge and operation experience.
- Sound people and project management skills.
- Strong risk and fraud awareness.
- Good PC skills and knowledge.
