Surveillance
Consultant (role of Technical Manager) provides coordination, planning and
has overall responsibility for the design and implementation of all new
projects. Provides technical advice to Surveillance Technical teams in the
installation, maintenance and repair of all related surveillance equipment.
To ensure the smooth running of the Surveillance Operations through continued
technical support, preventative maintenance and technical awareness and
advancements.
Responsibilities

Liaison with GEG Surveillance departments to ensure coordination with
projects, management of systems, project design and integration
-
Provide the link between GEG Construction/Projects, Contractors and operations
on new and existing projects

Develop Graphic User Interface (GUI) in consultation with CCTV integrator for
new and existing GEG Casino Surveillance Operations
-
Source, test and integrate/install new technologies that will enhance new and
existing GEG Surveillance operations
-
Assist in development of new surveillance software tools and operating
systems to ensure smooth integration into surveillance day-to-day operation
(Linux, ECONNECT, Lenel, Angel Eye, POS Integration, etc)

Liaison with manufacturers on all technical design aspects including hardware
configuration, software features, set-up & diagnostic tools and third
party interfaces including POS & Security-

Liaison and coordination with Surveillance system integrator for the
management of new projects, existing works and maintenance

Ensure that Surveillance independent IS&T Network is maintained and
secured inclusive of system storage (archive)

Coordination of development of surveillance data network design including IP
address numbering scheme.

Ensure the integrity of remote site CCTV installations and data
transfer/access.

Provide 24hrs on call support; 7 day technical support as required

Project Planning for new and current sites; commissioning and testing

Development of equipment rack layouts and hardware configuration for
coordination with system integrators

Coordination of surveillance control room layouts including console
configurations and equipment

Management of technical operations and staff as required; provide support and
guidance to the technical teams

Develop and administer a
preventative maintenance program for all Surveillance Department equipment/
software programs; inclusive of but not limited to: CCTV Cameras, Digital
Video Recorders, Cabling, CCTV network, equipment closets, CCTV Software,
CCTV Consoles, etc.
- Maintain confidentiality
within the Surveillance department ensuring technicians are aware and follow
the department Code of Ethics.
- Responsible
for stock control, budgeting and resourcing CCTV equipment
- Works under the guidelines as set down by
GEG management and the regulations imposed by the Direcção de Inspecção e Coordenação de Jogos
